CONNECTING CULTURES

After a hugely successful first year in our exciting Connecting Cultures program, we’re delighted to bring it back for 2013/14! This cross-cultural residency program will again work with a combined group of Shawnee Academy students and the  Newcomer Academy for English as a second language students to break down stereotypes and forge new connections among diverse but all-too-similar groups. Following the residency, Walden Theatre students will again devise an original production based on the personal narratives and shared experiences of the Shawnee and Newcomer students. We can’t wait to get started! VISIT THE PROJECT PAGE and be sure to share this project with your social network!

STAGING SUCCESS INTERNSHIPS

Walden Theatre alumni are talented and motivated. To meet the needs of some of our best and brightest students looking to secure a foothold in arts education and administration, we created this internship program to provide not only invaluable mentorship and career development, but also a stipend for the excellent work they do. There aren’t many paid opportunities for rising talent to get this kind of training, and we’re delighted to continue supporting our alumni beyond the Conservatory. Help us sustain this internship program! VISIT THE PROJECT PAGE and be sure to share this project with your social network!
